Andrew S. Lee, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with a focus on minimally invasive spine surgery and spinal deformities. Working closely with many renowned spine surgeons, Dr. Lee completed the prestigious, combined neurosurgical and orthopedic spine surgery fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He also worked at Benioff Children’s Hospital with children experiencing pediatric deformities. He has extensive experience in the treatment of the full spectrum of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine disorders. Dr. Lee’s special interests include microsurgery, interbody fusions, revision surgery and robotic spine surgery. He has authored numerous articles and textbook chapters and presented his research at both national and international spine surgical meetings. His guiding philosophy is simple: every patient is to be treated with compassion and respect as if Dr. Lee is treating his own family member. His goals are to ensure patients understand all aspects of their condition and explore every possible non-operative treatment prior to considering surgery. Dr. Lee strongly believes in giving back to the community, serving on medical missions, and using his undergraduate bioengineering degree to improve the lives of his patients through innovation. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, exercising, and traveling to new areas. He grew up in Irvine, California.
